Privacy Policy

BeltVault is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, what stays private, what can be public, and how to remove your data.

What we collect

An account (email, or a Google sign-in) and a username. Your collection — the items you mark owned or wanted — and any optional private details you add: what you paid, purchase date and source, condition, storage location, certificate numbers, personal notes, and ratings. We also store gameplay data like points, ranks, and badges, and basic technical logs needed to run the service.

What is always private

Your prices, purchase data, certificate numbers, personal notes, and storage location are never shown publicly — ever. They are visible only to you. Public pages are served through a restricted view that cannot expose these fields.

What can be public

Only if you opt in to a public profile: your username, rank, badges, and which catalog items are in your case or hunt list (item identity only — never the private fields above). You control this in Profile settings and can switch it off at any time. Public catalog and profile pages are crawlable by search engines.

Photos & image policy

Photos you upload to your private vault stay private to you. Photos you contribute to the community catalog are reviewed before publishing and tracked to their source. If you are a rights holder and want an image removed, email us and we will take it down promptly — we can deactivate every image from a given source in one step.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, and BeltVault is not a marketplace — there are no payments or transactions to track. We use third parties only to run the service (hosting, database, authentication, and push notifications you opt into).

Deleting your account & data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account. This removes your profile, collection, private details, uploaded photos, badges, and login. The action is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also email us at hello@beltvault.com to request deletion.

Age

BeltVault is intended for collectors aged 13 and older.
